His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman attended a ceremony to celebrate His Royal Highness’ 50th birthday, hosted by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) at its building yesterday.

His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam and Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar were also in attendance.

On arrival, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah were greeted by Special Adviser to His Majesty and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa bin Pehin Datu Perdana Manteri Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Ibrahim, Minister at the PMO and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof and spouse; Minister at the PMO and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah and spouse, and deputy ministers (Energy) at the PMO and their spouses.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah were invited to the Pesambah Gallery in the East Wing where His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah was presented a greeting card from the PMO.

Also presenting greeting cards to His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah were His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Sultan Sharif Ali, Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College and the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah then proceeded for a luncheon at the Banquet Hall.

Deputy State Mufti Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Japar bin Haji Mat Dain @ Maidin recited a Doa Kesyukuran to celebrate His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah’s 50th birthday.


Attorney General Dato Seri Paduka Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti  Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa and spouse; and Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar were also present.
